Do Something — Day 4
// June 20th, 2012 // Events
Good morning! Good God!! Those were the words that woke us up this morning! Indeed it was a good morning and we do have a good God! Again we did our morning devotions after breakfast. We studied Romans 8: 12-17.
The worksites have gone really well despite the spurts of rain. One group finished their project of hauling dirt and painting the basement. They had to change some plans because of the wet weather, and ended their day of work working at Bethel. They finished painting the toy shelf for the nursery, organized a closet in the youth area and weeded part of the flower garden. Another group was at Rum River Health. Their job was to trim hedges. They cut down a jungle. The last group finished up their landscaping and assembling the fence. The only thing left is to pour the concrete for the posts. Despite the heavy rains it was a very productive day.
Our dinner was delicious again. We had a taco fiesta, OLE!! After dinner we broke into our small groups to discuss this morning’s Bible reading. Students were given the opportunity to lead their peers in the discussion. Our evening sessions focused on the truth of the Bible and being able to explain to other why it is true. The evening ended with a campfire message led by Jason. Another great day of serving our great God!
