Just a quick reminder to everyone that the deadline for Winter Retreat registration forms is January 6th. The form is available right off of the front page of our website. This is a trip that all of our youth should go on and we are willing to help out any who are having problems making it happen. Please contact us and let us know if there is a youth who wants to go but cant for some reason and we will try to figure out how we can help.

Taking a Break

// December 15th, 2009 // No Comments » // Youth News

Hey guys! I just wanted to remind everyone that we are going to be taking a little break from our weekly service through the holidays. This means that we won’t be meeting on the Wednesdays of December 23rd and December 30th. We will resume our weekly meetings again on January 6th. We hope that this allows for families to spend some more time together during the holidays and that in a small way it may help out with everyones busy schedules.

Winter Retreat 2010

// December 9th, 2009 // No Comments » // Youth News

Alright we are ready to release the registration form for the 2010 Winter Retreat!! Once again we will be going to Wakefield, MI in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The dates are January 15-18th and the costs are on the registration form. The registration forms are due on January 6th along with the registration fees.Even if you don’t ski we want you to come on this trip. We have other things planned for those who want to go on this trip but don’t ski/snowboard and it is going to be a great time.

We will be leaving right after school on Friday and returning Monday afternoon (there is no school on Monday) We want to make it possible for a bunch of students to go on this trip so if money is an issue let us know and we can try to work something out. We also have a vehicle that will be heading out to the retreat later Friday evening and one returning Sunday evening for those who are unable to be there the entire time. If you have any questions send an email my way. We are really excited about how God may use this trip!!

Communication Changes

// December 4th, 2009 // No Comments » // Youth News

Ignite will be using their website and newsletter as their main tools for communicating what is happening with the ministry. So if you have any questions about what might be happening swing by the site to check out our recent posts and our calendar of events. Any new post to the website will also be sent out daily via our newsletter. I have input our current e-mail list into the newsletter mailing list.  If you wish to unsubscribe there is a link at the bottom of the newsletter. We are working on ways to communicate with our parents/congregation better and think that this will be  a great tool. If you have any questions or comments feel free to send me an e-mail.

Different Time Next Week

// December 4th, 2009 // No Comments » // Events, Youth News

Next week (Dec 9th) Ignite will be starting at 6pm instead of 7pm. We are doing our annual Video Scavenger Hunt and need the extra time to cruise around the town of Princeton.  We should be wrapping up at our normal time of 8:30pm. This is an activity that most of our group looks forward to every year and is a great way to get our kids out into the community on a Wednesday night. It should be a ton of fun!!

Ignite in charge of Treats!

We made the announcement on Wednesday night that our youth of Ignite are in charge of bringing bags of individually wrapped candy next Wednesday night (Dec 9th). These candies will be used for the Celebrate the Child Christmas program on Dec 20th.  Thank you for helping out!
